There's a certain magic to black and white photography. Recently, I had the privilege of capturing a beautiful mother-son session, a moment frozen in time that will undoubtedly be cherished for years to come. This wasn't just any photoshoot; it was a celebration of a milestone, a tender acknowledgment of a son entering his first year of middle school.

Middle school. Those years are a whirlwind of change, a bridge between childhood and adolescence. It's a time of growth, discovery, and sometimes, a little bit of uncertainty. For a mother, watching her firstborn navigate this new chapter is both exhilarating and bittersweet.

While my creative soul often revels in the explosion of color, for this particular session, I felt a pull towards the quiet power of black and white.
