September & October: So Many Adventures, So Little Time!
From Anniversary Adventures to Halloween Haunts and Everything in Between!
I've been meaning to sit down and catch up on the blog for weeks, but life has been moving a little faster than I can keep up with lately! Every time I think I'll have a chance to write, we're off doing something else. Not that I'm complaining! We've had so many wonderful experiences these past couple of months, and I have so much I want to share. I just haven't had a chance to sit still long enough to put it all into words!
September: A Little Romance and a Lot of Adventure
Brian and I started September with an anniversary getaway to Florida. Just the two of us, enjoying some time together and, of course, squeezing in as much fun as possible!
You know we couldn't miss Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Universal's Halloween Horror Nights! We also managed to visit all four Disney World parks in one day, ending our marathon with a much-needed foot-long hot dog from Casey's Corner. We explored Universal too, including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and How to Train Your Dragon. There's so much creativity in these places, and I love taking in all the little details.
Once we got home, we jumped right back into homeschooling, photography sessions, and our usual busy lives. September also brought a Halloween media event at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. We made a little getaway out of it, staying at the Hampton Inn in Cranbury, where I even found time to enjoy the indoor pool!
October: All Things Fall and Halloween!
October has been filled with Halloween media nights, family outings, and plenty of photography!
We visited Knoebels for Hallo-Fun, enjoyed Halloween experiences at Hera's and The Final Bell, and attended a media night at Nightmare Bar at The Point in Towson.
We also discovered just how much fun Cornfusion Corn Maze in Manchester, Maryland is! Between the apple cannons, games, slides, and paintball, there was so much to do. The girls and I even tried paintball and were surprisingly good at it! I think we've found a new fall tradition.
One of our homeschool adventures took us to Lancaster with Grace, Priscilla, and some of our homeschool friends. We spent the day exploring, learning about Amish and Pennsylvania Dutch culture, and visiting the Disney Store. We also stopped for lunch at Cracker Barrel, where I somehow managed to leave with both a salad and a pair of earrings. I do love a place where I can eat and shop at the same time!
In between all these adventures, I've been busy photographing fall and senior sessions, working on my magazine covers, preparing for Christmas photography, and enjoying all the usual craziness that comes with our family. I even got to pull out my face paints for a sugar skull look for dance class!
A Little Behind on Blogging, But Not on Making Memories
I've been sharing bits and pieces of our adventures on social media, but there is so much more I want to tell you about!
I have thousands of photographs waiting to be sorted through and plenty of stories to go along with them. As much as I love traveling and exploring new places, it's those little moments along the way that I treasure most.
That's why I take so many pictures. I want to remember it all, especially while the kids are growing up so quickly.
I'll be sharing individual blog posts about our travels, Halloween media nights, homeschooling adventures, and more very soon.
For now, I just wanted to catch everyone up on where we've been hiding these past couple of months!
I'm hoping November will give me a little more time to write, although looking at my calendar, I'm not making any promises!
