Chasing Wind & Creativity
My Westminster Living Cover Shoot with Natelie Tobery
April is right around the corner, and I'm bursting at the seams to share the stunning cover of Westminster Living magazine! But until then, let me tell you about the magical day I spent with the incredible Natelie Tobery.
Sometimes, you just click with someone instantly. That's exactly what happened when I met Natelie for her cover shoot. What was supposed to be a quick session turned into a whirlwind of creativity, laughter, and a few hours of pure photographic joy.
We started with the initial concept, but the creative energy was palpable. I couldn't resist asking Natalie if she'd be open to some creative makeup, and thankfully, she was just as excited as I was! There's something truly special about getting to both paint a face and capture it through my lens. It's a double dose of artistic expression, and Natalie was the perfect canvas.
Now, let's talk about the weather. It was... bracing. Windy and cold doesn't even begin to describe it. But despite the chill, we braved the elements and explored all the charming corners of downtown Westminster. The wind became our unexpected collaborator, adding a dynamic and playful element to the photos, even though we had to stop a few times and wipe away tears and touch up makeup.
We laughed, we were silly, and we completely lost track of time. It's those moments, when a simple photoshoot transforms into a creative adventure, that truly fuel my passion. And even better, when a shoot subject becomes a friend.
I'm absolutely thrilled with the results, and I can't wait for you to see the official cover in April! But until then, here are a few of my favorite shots and some behind-the-scenes glimpses into our windy, wonderful day:
These sneak peeks only hint at the magic we created. Natalie's adventurous spirit and willingness to embrace the unexpected made this shoot truly unforgettable.
Working with Westminster Living is always a pleasure, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to capture the essence of this vibrant community. And to Natelie, thank you for trusting me, for braving the wind, and for being such a wonderful human. I can't wait for everyone to see the final product!
Stay tuned for the April issue of Westminster Living to see Natelie’s full story!
