3 Hours of Wild Fun
We kicked off Day 2 at Animal Kingdom bright and early. On the bus ride over, we met the absolute sweetest family ever! It’s honestly one of my favorite things about Disney—meeting new people who are just as excited as we are. Brian, on the other hand, just shakes his head because he knows I’ve never met a stranger in my life.
We headed first to Zootopia! We lucked out with a super short line to meet Judy and Nick. Ever since Ryland and I went to Tokyo Disneyland for Halloween, we’ve been obsessed; Zootopia is a massive deal over there. I have to say, this character interaction was the best we’ve ever had. They were so playful, bantering with us and really taking their time to play with all of us.
Afterward, we checked out the new Zootopia attraction. Now, I’ll be honest—as a die-hard A Bug’s Life fan, I was a little apprehensive about the change. But the details they included in the waiting area were adorable, and the whole thing was way cuter than I expected. I’ll admit it: it was a good one!
Next, we "flew" over to Flight of Passage (an absolute family favorite) before hitting up my #1 spot for breakfast: Satu'li Canteen. We went all out and split a spread that I’m still dreaming about:
• Tropical Pandora Forest Fruits: So fresh and the perfect starter.
• Vegetable-Goat Cheese Frittata: This came served with wood-fired beef and chimichurri. The savory combo was a total 10/10!
• Cinnamon French Toast: This was topped with blueberry cream cheese and passion fruit anglaise, served with sausage. It was the perfect mix of sweet and salty.
To wash it all down, I grabbed a Specialty Ube Cold Brew—it’s Joffrey's Coffee™ with Ube, oat milk, and butterfly pea flower that makes it look so cool. I also tried the Yovo Fruit Margarita (Teremana Blanco Tequila with dragon fruit and sour mix) and the Trader’s Tailwind. That one is a mix of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, mango purée, and ginger beer with a chili-lime-rimmed glass. They even garnish it with a dehydrated blood orange wheel! Seriously, if you haven’t eaten here, you are missing out. 10/10 recommended!
We squeezed in a quick trip to Everest since the line was low—nothing like a mountain trek to wake you up! Then came the big debate: do we ride Dinosaur (Team Mom!) or head to Epcot for the Festival? Sadly, I was outvoted. But hey, we ran into some amazing musicians on the way out and had a mandatory dance break while heading to the exit.
Three hours, a lot of food, and zero regrets!
